Paul Hartlieb, site host, of Myerstown, Pennsylvania, is the little guy in the sweater with the spiffy sunglasses. I was about 3 1/2 years old when this photo was taken. This is the car that started it all. Our first Starfire - a Provincial White Convertible with red interior (VIN #626W04730), was purchased in December of '71 for the outrageous sum of $395 - and that had to be borrowed! Equipped with Guide-Matic Power Headlamp Control and Power Antenna. I remember the day she "got sick" and left my Mother and I stranded in the middle of the street in front of the 5 and 10 store. Mom was mad. She called a tow truck. Then Dad was mad! She spent the night at a local garage (the car, not my Mom!). It wasn't long after that (July '73) that the Starfire was replaced by a '67 Toronado Deluxe. If you know the whereabouts of this Starfire, please contact me!
